Today, organisations are faced with having to locate, absorb and react to huge volumes of information. They may need to consolidate data from various sources to produce reports or analyses – often a very daunting task when the report is needed urgently and the data is in an unfamiliar format.
Many organisations would also like to simplify the task of allowing employees to collaborate on a document, or an entire project. Often the information that is needed is locked away on someone’s PC hard disk. A great deal of working time can be lost just searching for the right file, or getting to a key set of numbers.

When assessing client requirements, we always look at ways in which a solution can be delivered to meet objectives, achieve maximum return on investment, and require minimal coding. Often, organisations are put off implementing a custom solution because of the cost of analysis and development. Tools such as SharePoint Server and InfoPath make it very easy to prototype a business process without the need to commit to the high development costs. PowerPivot can perform the same role, as a “personal” or “self-service” Business Intelligence tool capable of handling many millions of data rows.

From easily maintained Excel dashboards through to sophisticated web based solutions, we can help you build performance reporting dashboards and self-service reporting portals for use by your employees, customers or partners. We have experience of building reporting and analysis solutions using Excel, SQL Server Business Intelligence components and SharePoint. SQL Server Reporting Services can be integrated with all versions of SharePoint from Foundation to Enterprise. We can show how to make best use of these technologies to provide a dynamic management reporting portal.
Training and Mentoring
We can provide tailored training courses for developers or end-users to ensure that they make best use of your software investment. Training will usually be tailored to an individual client’s objectives. We can also provide tailored workshops focused on achieving faster, more accurate results using data analysis tools ant technologies.
Requirements Gathering, System Design, Architectural Recommendations
We have many years' experience of working with clients to produce or validate system requirements documents and functional specifications. We can provide this service to both end-user companies and to other software development companies. If you already have a completed requirements document, we can provide a “workshop” service where we work with key stakeholders to review and validate the document prior to moving to specification stage. We can also help with the design and delivery of prototypes.

Our principal consultant has worked with Microsoft solutions and technologies for many years, both as an independent consultant and as a director of a Microsoft Gold Partner company. We can now provide assistance to other partner companies, in several areas, such as technical expertise in areas outside of your core competency, and help with customer presentations, proposals and tenders.
